The only weightloss plan that has ever worked for me!

I saw Kathy Freston on The Ellen Show a few years ago and I liked the idea of "The Lean" but I never got around to trying it. I was a little turned off by the idea of eating a vegan diet so I tried and failed at many other diets before deciding to finally give this a try. I am so glad I did! The entire set up of the 30 day program and the concept of crowding out bad eating habits instead of just cutting out bad foods is amazing. I am halfway through the plan and have already lost weight and am actually loving life without animal products! I asked my dad to try it out as well and he agreed so I ended up buying a second copy for him. He is on week 1 right now and he's happy with the way he feels so far and excited to continue. I give this an A+ and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to lose weight and feel better!

Transition Made Easy

I am so grateful that my trainer introduced me to this book! I had been challenging myself physically for 6 months before hearing about this book and just felt led to challenge myself more. Kathy Freston made it so easy to shift from animal products to vegan cuisine. Unlike most diet plans where they tell you simply "don't eat this or that" with no real direction as to what you should eat, The Lean starts you filling up on healthy options; by the time you have to remove animal products from your diet you are already satisfied with the options you have previously been given, making it easy to let go of the unhealthy ones. This book has made transitioning very easy. I would recommend this to anyone who just wants a challenge or wants to totally change their lifestyle around.
The only reason I've given this book 4 of 5 stars is because I would have liked to see more recipes in the book; still a fair amount to start you off, though.

Purchased this book to accompany the series for my daughter (e book)

I purchased this book for my daughter who is having fantastic success with the diet book. She has H-pylori in her digestive tract and has struggled for years for good digestive health. As a child she complained endlessly with stomach aches. As an adult she has struggled finding a diet that didnt aggrevate her symptoms. She has off and on had issues with her weight, often binging out of frustration because of what felt to her like starvation pains. This made her situation worse and often she gained a lot of unwelcomed weight resulting in low self esteem. She found the cleanse book and has been extremely happy with the results in every aspect. Most of all she has been able to stay with the life style changes because of the philosophy of the author. Ease is the word my daughter uses describing the books by this author. I purchased the series of wellness books for her and she is doing remarkably well. She loves the books and...she reads them! Well worth the investment when I see how healthy and happy she has become.
